Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using FeastSoul ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
FeastSoul is a restaurant discovery platform that helps users find authentic, culturally diverse restaurants. We provide information about restaurants including location, cuisine type, cultural identity, and other details to help users make informed dining choices.
Restaurant Data & Cultural Classifications
FeastSoul features restaurant listings sourced from publicly available data, including public business directories, websites, and community contributions. Restaurant cultural classifications (such as cuisine type and cultural identity) are inferred from public information and may not reflect the restaurant owner's self-identification.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of this information, but we do not guarantee that any restaurant listing, cultural classification, or business detail is current, complete, or correct. Cultural classifications are provided for discovery purposes only and are not intended as definitive statements about any individual's identity.
Where a restaurant owner has verified their listing through our claim process, their self-identified cultural classification is displayed with an "Owner-verified" badge. All other classifications are sourced from public data and should be understood as community-sourced information.
Restaurant Owner Rights
If your restaurant appears on FeastSoul, you have the right to:
- Claim your listing — verify your identity and take control of your restaurant's profile through our claim process
- Correct information — update your restaurant's details, including cultural classification, through your owner dashboard
- Opt out of classification — choose not to display any cultural classification on your listing
- Request removal — have your restaurant removed from the platform entirely through our removal request form or by emailing [email protected]
- Receive SMS communications — if you opt in to SMS-based management, you may receive text messages for account verification and to submit or update event information. Message and data rates may apply.
We will process correction and removal requests within 48 hours of receipt.
User Responsibilities
By using our Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when submitting data
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service
- Not scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission
- Not harass, threaten, or target any restaurant, owner, or individual listed on the platform
- Not submit false or misleading information, including fraudulent ownership claims
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
Data Accuracy Disclaimer
We strive to provide accurate restaurant information, but we cannot guarantee:
- The accuracy of cultural or ownership classifications
- Current business hours, contact information, or operational status
- Menu items, prices, or availability
- Food quality, safety standards, or dietary compliance
- The accuracy of user-submitted reviews or community contributions
FeastSoul is a discovery platform, not a certifier of identity, ownership, or food safety. Restaurant owners may submit or update their information through our platform. We verify submissions to the best of our ability but cannot guarantee completeness or accuracy.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content) are the exclusive property of FeastSoul LLC. Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used without our prior written consent.
User Content
When you submit content (such as restaurant suggestions, reviews, or corrections), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content in connection with the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not infringe on the rights of others.
Payments and Billing
FeastSoul offers optional paid subscription plans for restaurant owners. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Subscription Tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly per restaurant on a recurring basis. Pricing and available features are described on our pricing page. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice published on the pricing page.
Free Trials. Certain plans include a free trial period. During the trial, no charge is made. A valid payment method is required to start a trial and will be charged automatically when the trial ends. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.
- Pro plan — 30-day free trial
- Growth plan — 14-day free trial
Billing Cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period. You are billed per restaurant. If you subscribe a second restaurant, your second subscription receives a 20% discount (applied automatically at checkout).
Upgrades and Downgrades. You may upgrade your plan at any time. An upgrade takes effect immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period; no partial credits are issued.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your owner dashboard or by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your plan's features until the end of the paid period. Canceling a paid plan does not delete your free listing from FeastSoul.
Refunds. We offer a 7-day refund window from the date of your first charge. If you are not satisfied within your first 7 days, contact us at [email protected] and we will issue a full refund. After 7 days, all charges are non-refundable. Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods.
Failed Payments. If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to retry the charge. If the payment is not resolved within 7 days, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free plan. You will receive notice before this happens.
Price Changes. If we change the price of a plan, we will notify you at least 30 days before the next billing date. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.
Third-Party Links
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as restaurant websites, delivery platforms, or maps). We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third parties.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESTAURANT INFORMATION OR CULTURAL CLASSIFICATION IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FEASTSOUL LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, RELIANCE ON ANY RESTAURANT INFORMATION OR CULTURAL CLASSIFICATION, OR ANY INTERACTION WITH LISTED RESTAURANTS.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FeastSoul LLC, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
Content Removal
If you believe any content on FeastSoul is inaccurate, misleading, or infringes on your rights, you may request its correction or removal by submitting a removal request or emailing [email protected]. We will review and respond to all requests within 48 hours.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, listed restaurants, or the Service.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
